1. Introduction
Driftline Mobile Car Detailing (“Driftline,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information when you visit our website, schedule a detailing appointment, contact us by phone or email, or otherwise interact with our services in Round Rock and the surrounding Austin, Texas area. By using our website or providing information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
This policy applies to information collected through our website and in connection with our detail services. It does not apply to websites, applications, or services operated independently by third parties. We encourage you to read the privacy notices of those providers before giving them information.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, phone number, service address, vehicle make and model, requested package, preferred appointment date and time, notes about vehicle condition, and messages you send us. When payment functionality is available, payment information is collected and processed by our payment provider; Driftline does not intend to store complete payment card numbers or security codes.
We may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, and the dates and times of visits. This information may be collected using cookies, server logs, or similar technologies and helps us understand whether the website works properly and how visitors use it.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to schedule and deliver requested services; confirm appointments; communicate arrival windows, reminders, changes, and follow-up information; provide estimates; process payments; respond to questions; maintain service records; improve our website and packages; prevent fraud or misuse; comply with legal obligations; and protect the rights, safety, and property of customers, Driftline, and others.
We may use contact information to send operational messages relating to a booking. With your consent where required, we may also send occasional promotional messages about availability or services. You may opt out of promotional email by using the unsubscribe method in the message or contacting us. Opting out does not prevent service-related communications for an active appointment.
4. Scheduling, Payments, and Service Providers
Our scheduling experience is provided through Calendly. Information entered into the embedded scheduling form is processed by Calendly under its own terms and privacy policy and is made available to us so we can manage your appointment. If online payments are enabled, payment details may be processed by Stripe or another designated payment provider under that provider’s policies.
We may use additional vendors for website hosting, analytics, email, text messaging, data storage, customer support, and fraud prevention. These providers may access information only as reasonably necessary to perform services for us or as otherwise permitted by law. We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are commonly defined under applicable privacy laws.
5. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information to service providers described above; to professional advisers such as attorneys, accountants, or insurers; when you request or authorize disclosure; in connection with a merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of our business; or when required by subpoena, court order, government request, or other legal process.
We may also disclose information when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to investigate suspected fraud, enforce our agreements, collect amounts owed, respond to an emergency, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Driftline, our customers, service providers, or the public. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify an individual.
6. Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small data files stored on a device. We may use essential cookies needed for basic site operation and limited analytics technologies to measure traffic and performance. Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, although parts of the website or embedded scheduling tools may not function as expected after cookies are disabled.
Our website does not currently respond to every browser “Do Not Track” signal because there is no uniform industry standard. Where legally required and technically supported, we will honor applicable opt-out preference signals. Third-party embeds may set their own cookies, and their practices are controlled by their own privacy notices.
7. Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal requirements. Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information and why it was collected. We may retain de-identified information for longer periods.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect information. However, no website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for using appropriate caution when sending information electronically. If we learn of a security incident, we will respond and provide notices as required by applicable law.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we maintain about you by contacting us. You may also ask questions about our practices or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and certain information may be retained when required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes.
Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a legally protected privacy right. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.
9. Children and External Links
Our services and website are intended for adults arranging vehicle services and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
The website may link to third-party websites. A link does not mean we endorse or control that party’s practices. Driftline is not responsible for the content, security, or privacy practices of an external site.
10. Changes and Contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by another reasonable method. Continued use of the website after an update means the revised policy applies to subsequent interactions.
